STEP Consultants Limited (SCL) is a limited company founded by highly motivated professionals in Law and Health-Care to address issues and problems faced by people from BME communities living in the UK.

It was incorporated as a Company in January 2002 and this publication explains the role of STEP Consultants Limited as a three dimensional establishment. SCL is committed to provide credible legal services, evidence based health care services, and value for money capacity building of BME community organisations based in the UK. SCL is registered Company No. 4370852 and OISC registered.

Mission
SCL's aims to;
  • Develop successful targeted initiatives to tackle immigration and health problems associated with refugees and asylum seekers who mostly suffer from lack of specialised advice and assistance.
  • To promote health, and provide culturally appropriate home health and social care to people from BME communities.
  • SCL is determined to capacity build organisations, which represent these communities from various cultural sources, enable them to sustain quality, value for money services, development and growth.

  • At a national level SCL provides training and consultancy to agencies across the country to develop regional initiatives targeted at the migrant communities in relation to health and influence public policy through conducting original research into issues related to health and immigrant communities.
  • SCL develop multi-functional approaches into providing culturally sensitive domiciliary care services that are sold to Local Authorities and PCTs on a spot purchase basis.
  • SCL provides tailored capacity building programmes to community-based organisations especially on issues of projects development, fundraising, tendering, services monitoring and evaluation.
